I’m on my way to getting clear of my moderate acne but I have noticed that it has left a bunch of dark spots. I wouldn’t consider these scars but they’re just post acne marks to me. How long does it take for these to go away and is there a way to make them go away faster?

      Hi,

It sounds like what you’re describing is actually "acne stains," which are caused from picking pimples. The skin reacts to the picking by pigmenting the skin, which helps prevent further damage. They’re extremely difficult to get rid of, but not impossible. You can try these methods:

      *A bleaching cream or cleanser
      *Microdermabrasion
      *Exfoliant treatment

Before starting any of these methods it is probably best to consult a dermatologist so that they can put you on a course of action that’s best for you.
